Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data CheckGen collects, how it is used, and your choices. We take your privacy seriously and collect only what is necessary to provide the service.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your organization name.

Usage data: When you use CheckGen, we store your saved checklists (items, outcomes, notes, ticket metadata) in our database. Anonymous users have no data stored on our servers.

Ticket content: Text you paste into the generator is sent to the Anthropic API to produce your checklist. We do not permanently store this input unless you save the resulting session.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and improve the CheckGen service
  • To save your checklists and history across devices
  • To enable shared sessions with your team
  • To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, workspace invites, and shared session invites)

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication and database storage. Your account and session data is stored in Supabase infrastructure. See Supabase Privacy Policy.

Anthropic: Ticket content is sent to Anthropic to generate checklists. See Anthropic Privacy Policy.

Netlify: The service is hosted on Netlify. See Netlify Privacy Policy.

4. Cookies and Local Storage

We use browser localStorage to store your session state and anonymous history. No tracking cookies are used. Authentication tokens are stored in localStorage by Supabase's client library.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained until you delete your account. Saved checklists are retained until you delete them. Shared session data expires after 30 days of inactivity.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. You may also export your history via CSV export from within the app.

7. Security

We use industry-standard practices including HTTPS, Supabase row-level security, and Netlify's secure infrastructure. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
